H.E. President John Dramani Mahama and former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo shared warm Easter holiday moments together in Kwahu, Eastern Region, as part of the ongoing Easter celebrations.
This was when the former President paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mahama on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Both dignitaries, accompanied by their respective entourages, are in the Kwahu municipality for the festivities.
Akufo-Addo shared a video clip on his official Facebook page showing his team visiting Mr. Mahama’s camp in a brief gathering.
“On the Holy Saturday of Easter, whiles in Kwahu where for almost two decades I have consecutively visited during the sacred period of Easter, I called on the President of the Republic, H. E. John Dramani Mahama who is also in Kwahu,” he wrote.

On arrival, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah received Akufo-Addo’s entourage and led them to Mr. Mahama.

The two leaders shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with laughter and smiles as they engaged in conversation.
Among the government officials with President Mahama in Kwahu were Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Julius Debrah, Eastern Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, and others.
