Kumawood actress, Portia Asare Boateng, has revealed her willingness to give marriage another chance despite experiencing two failed unions.
In a recent video, the actress shared that although her past relationships have not worked out as expected, she remains hopeful about finding love again.
According to her, she has not lost faith in marriage and is even praying for the right partner.
Portia Asare tied the knot with Raymond Kwaku Marfo on July 1, 2021, in a beautiful ceremony that gained significant attention on social media. The marriage marked her second attempt, following her divorce from her first husband, Pastor John Wilberforce, whom she married in 2013.
However, barely two years into her second marriage, rumours began circulating online suggesting that the relationship was facing challenges.
Although the actress initially dismissed the claims by showcasing her wedding ring, the speculation persisted. She eventually confirmed the end of the marriage in August 2024, stressing that the experience would not break her.
Speaking at the Scars to Stars Conference on April 4, 2026, Portia Asare stated that she still considers herself worthy of love and not beyond marriage.
“If marriage comes, I will marry. In fact, I am even praying about it. If it comes a thousand times, a million times, why not? Am I not beautiful as I sit here? Am I too old? I do not care about it. If God helps me to get one, I will marry,” she said.
She further explained that her previous marital choices may not have been guided by divine direction, which she believes contributed to their challenges.
According to her, she now intends to rely more on God when making such decisions in the future. Despite the emotional difficulties she faced, she maintained that her faith remained intact.
Portia Asare concluded by reaffirming her belief in love and marriage, noting that she is still open and spiritually prepared for another opportunity if it comes her way.
