The Ghana Education Service (GES) has received approval from the Ministry of Finance to pay salary arrears to eligible staff for the period from August 2024 to November 2025.
The Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) will make the payments in five installments.
According to a letter dated Monday, April 20, 2026, signed by Ag. Deputy Director-General Prof. Smile Dzisi, the arrears will be paid in four-month blocks starting in May, June, July, and August, with each installment covering four months of arrears.
GES management has instructed all Regional Directors to inform Heads of Schools about the payment schedule, ensuring eligible staff are duly notified.
