The President of Obaasima Movement Ghana (OMG), Ms. Serwaa Akoto, has extended love and support to mothers at the delivery ward of Lapaz Community Hospital in Greater Accra on Mother’s Day, presenting them with essential items and words of encouragement.
Speaking to Angel News during the visit, Ms. Akoto explained that the purpose of the Obaasima Movement Ghana is to empower women with confidence and support their development, preparing them to become responsible future citizens.

She emphasized that motherhood is one of the most challenging yet rewarding roles, and the initiative was designed to honor women for their strength and sacrifices.
As part of the celebration, mothers at the hospital received toiletries, washing powder, detergents, liquid soap, and diapers, among other gifts, to show appreciation and recognition of their efforts.

Ms. Akoto expressed heartfelt gratitude to her sister, Auntie Konadu, for her unwavering support in sustaining the Movement’s vision.
She further called on both governmental and non-governmental organizations to partner with Obaasima Movement Ghana to keep the initiative alive and expand its reach.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Akoto extended warm Mother’s Day wishes to all mothers across Ghana, reaffirming the Movement’s commitment to raising women in development and confidence.
