Founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, popularly known as Angel Obinim, has publicly declared that neither his wife nor his extended family should be responsible for organizing his funeral when he passes away.

Speaking during a church service, the outspoken preacher stated that he wants only his children to take charge of all arrangements related to his burial, including the date, funeral rites, and his dressing.

According to Obinim, his decision is intended to prevent potential disputes over his body and property after his death.

“Let this video be on social media. When my time on earth is due and I die, I don’t need my family members to do my funeral. The only people I want to handle my funeral are my children. I have exempted my family members, and even my wife, Florence Obinim, is exempted,” he said.

The preacher further advised married couples not to place excessive trust in marriage, suggesting that some spouses fail to show the respect and commitment expected in a union.

“Don’t put your trust in your marriage. Be careful and think about what I am saying. If marriage was truly respected, the funerals of people like Apostle Kwadwo Safo and Daddy Lumba would not have been handled the way they were,” he stated.

Obinim emphasized that his children should have full authority over every aspect of his burial arrangements.

“The day I die, no family member should come and fight over my body. No family member should take responsibility for anything. The burial date, my dressing, and everything concerning my funeral should be left to my children,” he added.

He clarified that his decision does not stem from any personal conflict with his relatives, stressing that family members would still be welcome to attend his funeral.

“Family members can come to the funeral, but they shouldn’t take responsibility for anything. I don’t have any issue with any family member. Not when I am dead should people come and fight over my body and properties. If anyone wants to do that, they should do it while I am still alive,” Obinim said.
