Ghanaian artist El Jena will release “Kaakweh,” the lead single from his upcoming EP ‘Root and Waves’, on Friday, June 19, 2026, across all major streaming platforms.
The track blends street energy with sharp wordplay and heavy rhythms, according to Siblings Recordz, the label releasing the single.
“Kaakweh” serves as the first official cut from ‘Root and Waves’, an EP the label says explores identity, growth, culture, resilience and movement.

“Kaakweh represents confidence, dominance, and presence,” El Jena said, adding that “It’s that record that makes heads nod, feet move, and hands go up. It’s the first taste of something deeper: Root and Waves. The roots keep me grounded. The waves keep me moving.”
The label describes El Jena as a recording artist who blends authentic storytelling, street culture, and contemporary African sounds.
“Kaakweh” is positioned as a high-energy record meant for clubs, festivals and street settings while showcasing lyrical skill.
