The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will commemorate 34 years of its founding with a flag raising ceremony on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.
The event will take place at the NDC Headquarters in Accra and is expected to draw party faithful, supporters, and members of the general public, according to an official notice from the party.
This year’s anniversary is being held under the theme “Celebrating 34 Years of Democracy, Unity & Progress.” The party says the ceremony is symbolic, aimed at “honouring our past, raising the flag for the future” as captured in its 34th anniversary tagline: “34 Years Strong.”
In its notice, the NDC reaffirmed its commitment to its founding values, stating “Together We Rise. Together We Build.”
The party also reiterated its motto, “Arise For God And Country,” and listed Unity, Stability, and Development as its guiding principles.
Party officials have extended an open invitation to the public to join the commemoration.
