The Madina Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) has launched investigation into a shooting incident involving former Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a statement issued by the Regional Public Affairs Unit, Accra, preliminary investigations indicate that on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Adwoa Safo sustained a gunshot injury to her left ear while visiting her late father’s residence at Kwabenya.
She subsequently reported the incident to the Kwabenya Police and presented a vehicle with registration number
GN 3482-24, which had visible gunshot damage.
The victim has been issued with a Police Medical Report Form and is receiving medical attention.
The vehicle has been retained for forensic examination as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify all persons involved.
Police say further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
