World Cup: I’ll be suprised if Ghana beat England – Odartey Lamptey

Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey expressed skepticism about Ghana’s chances against England in Tuesday’s FIFA World Cup clash, saying he would be surprised if the Black Stars emerge victorious.

According to him, the Three Lions of England possess a better team compared to the Ghanaian side at the tournament.

The match is scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Boston Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Mr. Odartey noted that Thomas Tuchel’s side is the stronger team and reiterated that it would be surprised if Ghana beat them instead.

“I will be surprised if the Black Stars win against England. They are better than us in terms of everything,” he said via Accra-based Asempa FM.

He observed that should the unthinkable happen, he would not hesitate to celebrate the victory, however.

“I’m a Ghanaian, and if we win, I will celebrate, but on the face of it, I’ll not be surprised if we lose to England,” he added.
