A man has died following a collision between a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and a Howo tipper truck on the Kpong-Tema Highway on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Personnel from the Kpong Fire Station responded to the crash at Kings and Queens in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality after receiving an emergency call.
The rescue team found the Pajero with extensive damage to its front section, while the tipper truck sustained partial damage to its rear guard.
One male victim died at the scene. The Akuse Police Accident Unit conveyed the body to the Akuse Government Hospital Morgue for preservation.
Firefighters also assisted with traffic management to ensure a safe movement of vehicles around the accident site.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are expected to continue.
