Carlos Queiroz says the Black Stars’ work at the World Cup is far from finished despite a goalless draw with England, indicating that securing qualification to the knockout stage is the immediate priority.

Following the 0-0 draw, Ghana is second in Group L with four points and has a game against Croatia on June 28. A win would guarantee progression to the Round of 32.

Carlos Queiroz praised his players for their impressive performance against the English side but was quick to temper complacency.

“We have not won anything yet. We’re just on our way to reaching the main goal, which is to qualify for the second round of the World Cup,” he said.

Queiroz praised his squad’s resilience and disciplined defensive display in keeping a clean sheet against the English side.

“Points in this World Cup are terribly expensive. When you get one, you have to fight for it. Now we recover and focus on Croatia,” he added.

The coach dedicated Tuesday’s performance to the supporters back home.
