Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adinkra Concepts, Kofi Osei, has received support from former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, following losses incurred during recent flooding in parts of the country.
According to a post shared on his official Facebook page, Mr. Osei said he received a telephone call from the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem North, Mr. Sammi Awuku, who conveyed Dr. Bawumia’s sympathies.
The call followed an earlier appeal by Mr. Osei to the public to assist in purchasing his stock of mackerel. He explained that some of the products were damaged after flooding and displacement affected his business and home. Mr. Osei noted that each carton contains 24 tins and is sold for GHS 350, and that although some packs were affected, a significant portion of the stock remained in good condition.

Mr. Awuku, speaking in Twi, introduced himself as the MP for Akuapem North and stated that he had been instructed by Dr. Bawumia to express condolences to Mr. Osei and his family for the losses suffered.
As part of the support, Mr. Awuku indicated that Dr. Bawumia had directed the purchase of 100 cartons of mackerel from Adinkra Concepts for distribution as relief items to families affected by the floods.
Describing the intervention, Mr. Osei said it reflects leadership that goes beyond political rhetoric.
“In times like these, words alone cannot heal the pain and losses. But genuine empathy, kindness, and action remind you that you are not alone. Leadership is not only about speeches and politics. It is about showing up for people when they are at their lowest,” he stated.
The post also attracted support from the public. Senior Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, who sighted Mr. Osei’s appeal, also indicated his interest in purchasing.
In a Facebook comment, Mr. Bentil wrote: “This is how you support a good person like Kofi Osei. Massa me too bring me 100 cartons wai. Make you deliver to my church. Call me when you’re ready.”
