Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has commended former District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) Coordinator, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, for his hands-on supervision of government equipment.

The comments come amid recent flooding in parts of the country that has displaced residents and destroyed property.

Speaking on Angel FM’s ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’ on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the MP said Mr. Vanderpuye set the standard by personally checking DRIP machines in every district.

“When Nii Lantey Vanderpuye was the DRIP Coordinator, he went to every district to see if all machines were working just as it should. There has to always be monitoring and supervision,” Mr. Addo said.

He also raised concerns about sanitation enforcement, noting that it is now rare to find town councils sanctioning offenders who litter their surroundings.

The MP further expressed his heartfelt appreciation by saying:
“May God bless Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.”
