Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has strongly denied allegations linking its current management to the acquisition of a property at an inflated price, describing reports circulating in sections of the media as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Ghana Gas said claims that its current management acquired a property located at No. 225 Osibisa Close, Airport West, Accra, are inaccurate and do not reflect the facts.
The company clarified that the property was acquired under a previous administration and stressed that the current management had no involvement in the transaction.
According to the statement, the acquisition was subsequently cited in the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report, which raised adverse findings about the transaction.
Ghana Gas further disclosed that the matter is currently under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), together with other relevant state investigative agencies.
The company assured the public of its full cooperation with the ongoing investigations and expressed confidence that the outcome would establish that the current management played no role in the acquisition of the property.
“We therefore urge the media and the general public to disregard these false and misleading publications and to verify facts before circulating or publishing such claims,” the statement said.
Ghana Gas also reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, sound corporate governance, and the prudent management of public resources.
The statement was signed by Richard Ernest Kirk-Mensah, Head of Corporate Affairs at Ghana National Gas Limited Company.
