The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set Saturday, September 19, 2026, as the date for its National Delegates Conference, where delegates will elect national officers of the party.
According to a statement issued by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the conference will be held in accordance with Article 10(1) of the NPP Constitution.
The decision, the statement said, was taken by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and subsequently approved by the National Council at their respective meetings held on Thursday, June 25.
Ahead of the conference, the General Secretary, acting pursuant to Article 19(2) of the party’s Constitution, has invited proposals for amendments to the party’s Constitution.
The statement urged members and stakeholders to submit proposed amendments to the Office of the General Secretary at the party’s National Headquarters.
The deadline for the submission of all proposals is Friday, July 17.
According to the statement, the constitutional review process would enable members and stakeholders to submit proposals that would further strengthen the party’s structures, enhance its internal democratic processes, and promote effective governance.
