Staff of the Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) on Friday participated in the nationwide National Clean-Up Exercise, demonstrating the Company’s commitment to environmental sanitation and public health.

Employees at the Company’s headquarters and operational sites across the country turned out in large numbers to sweep their surroundings, weed overgrown areas, cut grass, clear curbs, and desilt drains within and around their operational facilities.

The exercise formed part of the National Clean-Up Campaign launched by President John Dramani Mahama under the theme, “Our Action, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana After the Floods.” The campaign seeks to restore clean and healthy communities while encouraging citizens to take collective responsibility for protecting the environment.

At the Ghana Gas Head Office, the sanitation exercise was attended by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon. John Dumelo, who joined management and staff in the clean-up exercise.
Ghana Gas reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and urged all Ghanaians to play their part in keeping their communities clean, healthy, and safe.

The Company noted that maintaining a clean environment is essential to protecting public health, preventing flooding, and promoting sustainable national development.
