Contestants of the Miss Ghana 2026 pageant joined the National Clean-Up Exercise, teaming up with the Bus Stop Boys and staff of BOST Energies to clean communities in Accra as part of efforts to support the President’s directive on sanitation.
Led by the Chairperson of the Miss Ghana Foundation, Inna Patty, Esq., the contestants on Saturday cleaned gutters, streets and public spaces in East Legon, Bawaleshi and Shiashi.
The exercise was aimed at improving environmental sanitation and promoting civic responsibility.
The clean-up forms part of the Miss Ghana Foundation’s ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ initiative, which tasks contestants with community service, volunteerism, and advocacy as part of their preparation for the pageant.

Speaking after the exercise, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Exclusive Events Ghana and Chairperson of the Miss Ghana Foundation, Inna Patty, Esq., said the activity was a reminder that nation-building starts with service.
“It was hard work, incredibly rewarding and a powerful reminder that building the Ghana we all desire begins with each one of us. Clean communities are healthier, safer and more attractive for investment and tourism,” she said.
She commended the President for championing the national initiative and applauded the Bus Stop Boys and BOST Energies for “leading by example.”
“At the Miss Ghana Foundation, we believe leadership is demonstrated through service. Our contestants are not just preparing for a crown; they are preparing to become responsible citizens and change-makers who inspire others to give back to their communities. We encourage every Ghanaian to make cleanliness a daily habit, not just a monthly exercise,” Ms. Patty added.
The exercise brought together volunteers from various organisations united by a shared commitment to environmental sustainability.
Organisers said the collaboration highlights the importance of partnerships between the public, private and civil society sectors in building a cleaner Ghana.
The Miss Ghana Foundation noted that the platform goes beyond beauty, seeking to nurture young women who lead by example and contribute to national development.
“True beauty is reflected not only in appearance but also in compassion, service and a commitment to improving society,” the Foundation stated.
The 69th edition of Miss Ghana is being held under the theme “Empowering Women, Enduring Legacy.” The pageant continues to place equal emphasis on leadership, education, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and social responsibility.
