The New Patriotic Party has inaugurated its National Elections Committee to oversee preparations for the election of the party’s national officers.

The committee will be chaired by Hon. Frederick Opare-Ansah, while Hon. Abena Osei Asare will serve as Secretary. Its responsibilities include planning, organising and managing the processes for the party’s National Conference and the subsequent elections.

The newly constituted committee comprises nine members, including former legislators, party officials and professionals tasked with ensuring a smooth and credible electoral process.

The members are Hon. Frederick Opare-Ansah (Chairman), Hon. Abena Osei Asare (Secretary), Mr Evans Nimako, Madam Oboshie Sai Cofie, Hon. Anthony Abayifa Karbo, Hon. Salam Ama Appianin Damata, Mr Eric Ntori and Mr Frank Davies, Esq.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party will also join the committee as a member after the conclusion of the Ashanti Regional Elections.

The NPP said it expects the committee to carry out its mandate with integrity, fairness, transparency and professionalism as the party prepares for the election of its national leadership.

The inauguration forms part of the party’s internal preparations to organise its National Conference and select officers who will lead the party in the next phase of its political activities.
