A rubber recycling factory in Tema was engulfed by fire this morning, leaving some firefighters injured after part of the roof caved in during operations.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said crews were deployed to the scene early today following reports of the blaze at the facility.
According to GNFS, firefighters are currently engaged in salvage and overhaul operations to bring the situation fully under control.
Fire officials confirmed that some personnel sustained injuries when the roof of the warehouse collapsed on them during the operation.
The extent of damage to the warehouse and factory is yet to be determined.
The cause of the fire is also under investigation.
