Veteran broadcaster, Mike Eghan, has revealed that highlife musician, Nana Ampadu, gave him [Eghan] two shirts when he criticised his songs.
He made this revelation during the special edition Angel 102.9 FM’s ‘Friday Old Skuul’ held at the station’s forecourt, to celebrate the contribution of senior citizens to the development of Ghana.
“I remember that when I was still active in broadcasting, I played two of Nana Ampadu’s songs. After playing [the songs] I remarked that they are not as ‘sweet’ as CK Man’s songs”, he said in an interview with Captain Smart.
He added that Nana Ampadu came looking for him at the broadcasting house and gave him two shirts for making him realise that he needs to play better songs as a highlife artiste.
According to him, prior to the visit of Nana Ampadu, some of his [Ampadu] music fans criticised him [Eghan] for making such remarks about their favorite artiste.
In attendance at the function were former screen personality, Grace Omaboe popularly called Maame Dokonor, Akosua Agyapong, Nana Ampadu among others.
