The Supreme Court of Ghana has granted a request by former President, John Mahama for the election petition to be broadcast live on national TV.
The court granted this request at the pre-trial conference of the petition held on Monday.
This ruling will allow GTV to mount it’s cameras and transmit the petition live for all Ghanaians to monitor.
This is not the first time an election petition will be broadcast live on TV; the 2012 petition was also broadcast live.
