Train transformational leaders, not just teachers – Bryan Acheampong to Colleges of Education

Jobyco Limited has made a donation of books and toys and hand sanitizers, worth Gh10,000 to the Flagstaff House Primary and JSS in Accra.

Marketing Manager of Jobyco, which forwards freight from the UK to Ghana, Augustine Manu Cann, made the presentation on behalf of the company. He was assisted by Lt. Col. Eric Abiti.

Making the presentation, Mr. Manu Cann recounted with nostalgia his days as a student of the Flagstaff House Primary and JSS. He recounted the virtues of discipline, honesty and hardwork that the school imbibed in him. Mr Manu Cann added that he and his company made the donation as a contribution towards the training of the next batch of future leaders, and towards giving back to a school that has given so much towards making him who he has become today.Jobyco donation

On his part, Lt. Col. Abiti, also an alumnus of the school extolled the virtues that military schools imbibe in their students, and encouraged the school to continue along the lines of discipline and patriotism.

The headmistress of the school, Mrs Esther Obiri-Ansu, reviewing the donation said it was timely as the school needed it for the students’ academic development. She mentioned how the books would contribute towards students having quality time in the library. She also mentioned that refurbishing the physical structure of the library building would be another worthwhile venture that would motivate students to use the library. She hence, seized the moment to call on other alumni of the school to consider supporting in the direction of library refurbishment.

Mrs Obiri-Ansu called on other past students to emulate the example of Jobyco Ltd. Also in attendance was Mrs Lydia Osei who volunteered to assist in the donation.
