An 11-year-old boy has committed suicide at Nkwanta in the Oti Region of Ghana.
The body of Isaac Asuman was found hanging on a tree at Lapaz-School Park in Dambai around 7:30pm on Monday evening.
According to information available to this website, the Class 3 pupil at the Dambai College of Education Demonstration Primary had complained that he was not feeling well and hence could not accompany his mother to church.
He therefore insisted on being left alone in the house.
While alone, a driver friend of the family who had returned from Cape Coast came visiting and offered him bread which he had bought for him.
The boy allegedly insisted on going to the room of the friend to watch TV but was denied by the driver who said he was yet to put his room in shape so the boy should come back later to watch his favourite telenovela.
However, Asuman could not come back as his body was later found hanged on a tree with his legs touch the ground.
This has led people to suspect foul play in the death of the Class 3 pupil.
