The Ghana Football Association has released full fixtures for the upcoming 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The top-flight league will kick off on Friday, October 29, 2021 with the first round ending on Sunday, February 13, 2022.

The second round of the league will start on February 25 2022 and end on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

However, dates and times for the matches will be confirmed in the coming days with the television schedule.

Meanwhile, defending champions, Accra Hearts of Oak will start their title defence at home against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports stadium, while arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko journeys to Dawu to battle Dreams FC.

Apparently, Hearts Of Oak and Asante Kotoko will lock horns in a two-legged affair on Match Day 7 in Accra and Match Day 24 at Kumasi in Ghana’s version of the ‘El classico.

Again, Accra Hearts of Oak will host Accra Great Olympics in the first leg of the Ga Mashie derby at the Accra Sports Stadium on Match Day 16 with the return fixture taking place on Match Day 33 at same venue.

On the other hand, Asante Kotoko faces off competition from King Faisal babies in the Kumasi derby on March Day 6 with the Bono derby between Aduana FC and Berekum Chelsea set for Match Day 9.

Moreover, returnees Real Tamale United (RTU) will also begin their campaign against the Dade boys, Accra Great Olympics at the Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale.

That notwithstanding, newly promoted sides Accra Lions and Bibiani Gold Stars will have their first taste of Premier League football at home against Elmina Sharks and Berekum Chelsea respectively.
