The Spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has hinted that the state will not take responsibility for salary payment to Milovan Rajevac’s interpreter.

Speaking on Accra-based Angel FM’s Anopa Bↄfoↄ morning show, Henry Asante said the coach will pay Nenad Glisic himself as discussed in their contractual agreement.

“In 2010 when he first came, his translator Nenad was paid by the state. But this time, we told Milovan that we do not have that capacity, so he should pay his own translator”

“We told him that, we will give him the free role to operate but we don’t have any money issues with regards to his translator and he agreed which both parties stick to that” he explained.

Mr. Asante Twum added that, “It is in the contract and he will take care of his translator, he [Glisic] is not the burden or responsibility of the FA.”

His comments were in reaction to claims circulating in the media that Nenad Glisic, who is accompanying the coach as an interpreter due to the latter’s inarticulateness in the English dialect, will be paid by the state.

Meanwhile, Milovan Rajevac will be paid in dollars compared to his first term where he was paid in Euros.

He has been tasked to win next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and qualify the country for its fourth FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar 2022.
