Hiplife Artiste, Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as AMG Medikal, has been remanded into Police custody for one week by a Circuit Court in Accra.
He was arraigned before court after he was arrested yesterday, October 21, 2021.
The musician appeared before an Accra Circuit Court this afternoon for the first time after spending one night in police cells.
The ‘La Hustle’ hitmaker was picked up by the police after a video of him brandishing a gun resurfaced on social media.
His Lawyer, Emmanuel Yeboah Gyan, pleaded with the court to grant his client bail on the basis of good behaviour. But the Judge refused.
Angel FM’s court correspondent, Ama Brako Ampofo, reported that the artiste’s wife, Fella Makafui, his manager and some of his fans were present at the court premises upon his arrival.
Clad in a black T-shirt, the artiste arrived hancuffed in the company of some police personnel.
Medikal’s court appearance comes a day after his colleague and friend, Shatta Wale, and four other people were remanded into police custody following a hoax gun attack staged by Shatta Wale.
