Police officers at Suame arrested an ununiformed soldier by name sergeant Jamal Deen Mohammed for riding an unregistered motorbike on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Unhappy about the development, some of the soldiers allegedly attacked the Suame Police Station and physically assaulted the arresting officers.

A melee then ensued among the two security services after the soldiers had arrived to release their colleague in the custody.

Meanwhile, peace prevailed after the intervention of the Ashanti Regional police commander and the commanding officer of the 4th Infantry Battalion in Kumasi.
