The organizers of Ghana DJ Awards have adjudged Angel FM’s Ohemaa Woyeje as the best female radio Disc Jockey (DJ) of the year.
The award ceremony was held on Saturday November 27, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Center.
A number of Ghanaian Djs who were awarded on the night of the ceremony included DJ Switch for the category of young DJ of the year; Papa Bills, record promoter of the year and DJ Vyrusky as the DJ of the year.
The “Y’adwuma nie” host on Angel FM, who doubles as an entrepreneur and a reggae artist in her acceptance speech expressed gratitude to the organizers and to all her fans for reposing their confidence in her.
The award scheme was established in 2013 to honour the role of Djs in the music industry.
The primary objective of the Award scheme is “to organize the electronic dance music scene and seek to let the world know that the art of DJing is a respected craft, with Djs playing a major role in the overall music and entertainment industry.”
