Award-winning Afrobeat musician Wendy Asiamah Addo popularly known as Wendy Shay has revealed that despite being born again there was going to be some sort of “sexiness”.

In a recent interview on Angel FM, she had stated that as part of her rebranding she will now appear a ‘bit covered up’ in other to appeal to the elderly in society.

According to her, she will no longer expose her body as a result of her journey with Christ Jesus.

However, in her recent “BreakmyWaistchallenge” video, she was dressed half-naked ‘breaking’ her waist, a situation that made her followers criticize her saying she does not practice what she preaches.

But she questioned her detractors saying, “what has dancing to my song got to do with me being born again?”.

“Can the so called holier than thou people show me the chapter in the Bible that says you can’t dance?… abeg allow me to Break My Waist Ghana wake up” she tweeted.

Some of her fans who replied her comment rebuked her for being hypocrite.

Kutorwu Timothy M for instance said, “The Bible do say thou shall not let thy fellow into sin….u dance seductively… U too wake up”.

Thattaifaguy also commented, “The Bible asked you to join Twitter! None sense”.

Debosky also warned the singer not to use her seductive dance to lure people’s husband.

Nana Owusu-Ansah however, encouraged Wendy to avoid people who are not supporting her actions.

“Don’t mind anyone. We the Shaygangs love you to the core. You are a big star up there and we are proud of u”, he said.
