A US-based Ghanaian musician, Charles Taylor well-known as Ras Bobo, has denied reports that he was once arrested in the United States of America (USA) for allegedly smuggling a substance believed to be cocaine.
Ras Bobo who has been in the music industry since 2007 said, he recieved news that he was arrested by the US officials with shock.
“I went for a show at Pachuca, Mexico and the crowd that turned up was massive…while returning, an immigration officer took my passport and stamped in it and said welcome home…,” he said.
He said he was never arrested at the Airport so was shocked when he received news from a friend in Ghana that he has been arrested for drug trafficking.
“I was never ever arrested, they took some of my pictures I had posted on social media and published contents claiming I had been arrested for trafficking drugs and this came as a shock to me…,” he said.
He further denied claims that he had sponsored such a publication so he can be popular.
“I didn’t do that for publicity stunt or whatever…,” he said.
