Ghanaian gospel artiste and music director, Francis Amo, has disclosed that he became a school dropout at stage four.

According to him he started schooling but later dropped out because he could not write his name.

Sharing his story of how he dropped out of school to become a music school owner, he said his uncle later denied him the opportunity to go to school when he wanted to retry.

The energetic gospel singer revealed on the Anopa Bofo Show that “my uncle called his nephews including me and asked who wanted to go to school. When I told him I wanted to go to school, my uncle emphatically told me I cannot go to school and later asked me to learn a trade as a mechanic which I did”.

Francis narrated that he also could not fellowship with his friends because, they attended a church where only English songs were sung during service.

He said, he taught himself English songs when his friends were away. One day, he followed them to church and sang an English song which he had learnt and that became the genesis of singing English songs even though he was a school drop out.

According to him, even though he was a school drop out, he realized God was taking him to another level hence he needed to upgrade himself.
