Former Nigerian presidential candidate, Adam Garba, has said that a third World War would present Africans with an opportunity they missed in the past World Wars.
The Member of All Progressive Congress (APC) made this statement on his Facebook page on Thursday February 24, 2022, in reaction to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. In his opinion, Africa remains ‘poor and abandoned’ because there was no opportunity for Africa to participate in the first and second world wars.
He argued that, “most of you don’t know that Africa needs the Third World War more than every other continent on the planet”.
“We were nothing in the first and second , that’s why we remained poor and abandoned.WW3 is an opportunity for Africa”.
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia occurred after a pre-dawn TV address where Russian president, Vladimir Putin, demanded that Ukraine military lay down it arms.
However, the Ukraine leader said his country “won’t give up its freedom”.
“Russia has embarked on a path of evil, but Ukraine is defending itself”, President Volodymyr Zelensky tweeted.
