The leader of the Lord’s Parliament, Prophet Francis Amoako-Atta has said that the Black Stars of Ghana must shine and emerge victorious in their second leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
According to the Man of God, the root word for eagle in Hebrew means “to fall out” which indicates that the Super Eagles of Nigeria would crash out for their Ghanaian rivals to win.
He likened Ghana’s play-off with Nigeria, which kicks off at 16:00 GMT today, to the biblical fight between David and Goliath.
Prophet Amoako-Atta explained that looking at the stature of the Nigerian goalkeeper and some of their players such as their numbers 5,6 and 7 they are tall people like Goliath.
He, therefore, suggested that “if that is so, then you [Black Stars] don’t behave like them [or] play like them…because they are bigger and taller; and you are smaller.”
“We are not going to play like them. We have to play Ghana soccer by putting the ball down and confuse them”, he reiterated.
He further recommended going back to the 4-4-2 formation which he believes is a Ghanaian strategy that has produced results.
In his view, the Nigerians would be ‘physical’ during the match to wear out their Ghanaian counterparts.
The prophet outlined some strategies which he believes are crucial for the success of the Black Stars.
He stated that the Stars should create goal-scoring chances and make the most of them because the Nigerians won’t give them room to easily defeat them.
While recounting that most Ghanaian players were tired during the Friday, March 24 match, he said the players need more skills and more stamina which he termed as the supporting system to outshine their rivals.
