Lyon held off Paris St-Germain to ensure they will meet Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League final.

The record seven-time winners had a 3-2 lead from the first leg of their semi-final and took the lead in Paris through Ada Hegerberg.

In front of 43,254 at the Parc des Princes, a record crowd for a women’s match in France, Marie-Antoinette Katoto equalised in the second half.

But Wendie Renard secured a 2-1 win on the night, 5-3 on aggregate.

Lyon will play in their 10th final in Turin on 21 May against the holders Barca, who earlier went through 5-3 on aggregate despite losing their second leg 2-0 to Wolfsburg.

Hegerberg, the competition’s all-time leading scorer, opened the scoring with a looping header from Selma Bacha’s left-wing cross.

The Norway forward had another effort ruled out for offside in the second half by the video assistant referee and that reprieve gave PSG a lift, resulting in Katoto’s equaliser.

The PSG forward tapped in from close range after Sandy Baltimore’s shot was saved by Christiane Endler to give the hosts hope of forcing extra-time.

Lyon goalkeeper Endler then made a point-blank save to prevent Sakina Karchaoui levelling the tie on aggregate.

And with seven minutes left, Lyon captain Renard marked her 101st appearance in the competition by rising above her marker to power in a header from Bacha’s inswinging free-kick.
