Ghana Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak has revealed plans for the construction of a 15,000 multi-purpose capacity stadium.
The stadium, which forms part of the club’s quadruple projects is expected to serve as a home venue for the Phobians when completed. The projects include; New Head Office, Pobiman Sports Complex, and the Dedicated football stadium.
This was revealed by a Board member of the team, Vincent Odotei Sowah, on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, when the club unveiled its new commercial centre at a short ceremony in Accra.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Odotei Sowah, mentioned that they cannot achieve or attain any success within the competitive field let alone the sporting field without infrastructure, therefore, they are committed to making it materialize.
“Our journey to attain pre-eminent as a club not just in Ghana but Africa can’t be achieved without building and putting in place infrastructures. We want everyone especially the media to take note that this year will be the beginning of rolling out of the quadruple project” Odotei Sowah said during the commissioning of the Hearts of Oak Commercial center in Accra.
“One of the quadruple projects is the Hearts of Oak commercial center which we’re commissioning today. The second one is the sod cutting of the new head office of the club which will be done after this short ceremony”
“The third project of the quadruple project will be the commissioning of the twenty-acre ultramodern sports facility at Pobiman”
“The quadruple project will be concluded with the building of our own 15,000 seater stadium, somewhere in Accra. Today marks the beginning of the quadruple infrastructure project of Hearts of Oak” Vincent Odotei Sowah explained.
Accra Hearts of Oak have adopted a state-owned sports facility, Accra Sports Stadium as their home ground where they play their matches.
