Accra Hearts of Oak progressed to another finals of the 2022 MTN FA Cup following their victory over Dreams FC in the first semi-finals at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The defending champions of the competition FA Cup recorded a 3-2 scoreline over the ‘still believe’ boys to keep their dreams of retaining the title they won last season alive.

Sylvester Simba put Dream’s FC upfront in the fourth minute of the game however the Phobians leveled seven minutes later through youngster Benjamin Yorke.

With numerous chances falling the way both sides, none were able to increase the tally as the first half ended 1-1.

Just after the restart of the second half, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh extended the lead for Accra Hearts of Oak.

Dreams FC were, however, reduced to 10 men after Ibrahim Issah saw his marching orders following a reckless tackle on defender Mohammed Alhassan.

The rainbow lads took advantage to extend their lead through Seidu Suraj but a late fight from the Dawu-based side was not enough as the contest ended 3-2.
