Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim, will join the Black Stars for the 2022 Kirin Cup tournament in Japan.

The late call-up for the former King Faisal stopper was to replace Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori who sustained a hamstring injury during training.

Danlad’s sterling performance for the Porcupine Warriors helped them lift this season’s Ghana Premier League.

He will therefore join the team for the four-nation tournament in Japan later this month in preparation towards the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Ghana will compete with Japan, Chile, and Tunisia from June 10th to 14th, 2022, ahead of the FIFA World Cup to be played in Qatar, November to December later this year.
