Man allegedly murdered over supposed land litigation at Awutu Mampong

A man believed to be in his 40s and identified as Kofi Kyekyebi, has been murdered at Awutu Mampong in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region over an alleged land dispute.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

The assailants after committing the crime, are believed to have deposited the deceased body in a nearby community to portray that, the deceased died in a road accident.

According to information, the deceased before his death was a key witness to the litigation over a piece of land in the area.

Some residents who spoke to Angel News reporter, Opanyin Darko said, the deceased had gone to the land to stop some people who were working on the said land but failed to return home.

Subsequently, a search was mounted and upon which some blood droplets were found on the piece of land but the body was nowhere to be found. Later they extended their search to a nearby community where the late Kofi Kyekyebi was finally found dead by a roadside in a pool of blood.

The body has since been deposited at the hospital for autopsy and preservation.
