A young lady believed to be in her 20s has been found dead at Nkramofukrom, a community near Abura-Dunkwaw in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region.
According to Angel News’ Akosua Akyere Kumiwaa, the deceased is suspected to be a student.
She was found dead in a pool of blood in a nearby bush at Nkramofukrom, on Sunday, June 19, 2022, with some parts of her body including her clitoris removed.
Residents in the area have since been gripped with fear and panic following the spate of murder cases recorded in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, they suspect the deceased was raped before she was murdered due to how her underwear and pants have been removed leaving her only in skirt.
The body has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy while an investigation has been launched into the matter.
The police have since called on members of the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
