Representing Ghana in goalpost was ‘much special and important’ – Razak Brimah

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Brimah described his days in the goalpost for the Senior National Team as “much special and important.”

According to the goalkeeper, keeping the goalpost for the Black Stars and the opportunity given him to defend the Ghana’s flag was important to his career development.

He admitted that the opportunity impacted his football career immensely thus, the experience will forever remain with him.

Recalling his stay with the Black Stars, Razak Brimah emphasized that “since my first game in Turkey to the last game in 2017 [the experience] has been special and important to me.”

Speaking on Warm Up Plus on Accra-based TV3, the Linares Deportivo player expressed his readiness to rejoin the Black Stars at any given period.

“Why not I’m a Ghanaian and I’m still playing, pushing and I’m doing very well in my club this season. Yes, I’m ever ready,” he told the host, Aniela Allotey.

Razak Brimah made 27 appearances for the Black Stars after receiving his first call up in 2013. He also made his debut in a friendly match against Turkey that ended 2-2.

He was the number one goalkeeper for the Black Stars during the 2015 AFCON in Equatorial Guinea where the Stars lost to Ivory Coast in a marathon penalty shootout.
