Kumasi Asante Kotoko: Imoro Ibrahim set to join Sudanese club for $410,000

Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s dependable left-back, Ibrahim Imoro, is on the verge of closing a move to Sudanese powerhouse, Al Hilal Omdurman after reaching a full agreement with his parent club.

According to reports, the defender is joining the Sudanese club for a fee worth $410,000    

Imoro is expected to arrive in Sudan within this week and undergo mandatory medicals before putting pen to paper to finalise the deal with Al Hilal Omdurman.

The deal when completed, will see Al Hilal paying an initial fee of $150,000 upfront for the 22-year-old plus additional $260,000 add-ons.

The former Karela United player will reportedly earn $10,000 as a monthly salary.

More importantly, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will receive additional funds from the Sudanese team when the Black Galaxies left back helps them win the CAF Champions League trophy.

Imoro Ibrahim joined the Porcupine Warriors from Karela United in 2019 and became an integral member of the team where he helped them lift the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

He featured in 27 GPL games and managed to score two times and assisted eight times.

Al Hilal Omdurman is also said to be interested in Cameroonian import George Mfegue and goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim with official bids reportedly submitted to the Ghanaian champions.
