The president’s response is in connection to a Facebook post suggesting that he had written to the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, asking him to “give Peter Obi a chance and seek treatment for his health.”
President Akufo-Addo in a tweet on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, said, “I have written no such letter to the APC leader, and it will not occur to me to do so.”

He maintained that there has been a firm coexistent relationship between the two West African neighbors for which reason he would be the last person to interfere in its internal affairs.
“Ghana and Nigeria boast of decades of cordial, strong, and brotherly relations, and I am not going to be the one to interfere in the internal affairs and politics of Nigeria,” Nana Akufo-Addo observed.
I have written no such letter to the APC leader, and it will not occur to me to do so. Ghana and Nigeria boast of decades of cordial, strong and brotherly relations, and I am not going to be the one to interfere in the internal affairs and politics of Nigeria. 3/3
