Founder of the United Front Party (UFP), Kwasi Addae popularly known as Odike, has said the current state of the country under President Akufo-Addo-led administration is a true reflection of his actions and inactions from the first decision of his governance.

He stated that the actions and inactions of President Akufo-Addo in the first quarter of his four years speak for the current happenings.

Speaking on the Anopa Morning Bofo morning show, hosted by Kwamina Sam Biney, the vocal Odike said he is not surprised by the mismanagement by the NPP administration.

“I was the only person who started chastising and criticizing President Akufo-Addo’s government before the NDC party even came to their senses because they were all afraid of Nana Addo and could not criticize him after voting him into power.

“Six months after the elections were when I noticed that Nana Addo had nothing better to offer the country. Yes, exactly, I saw that in the first six months of his term in office and began criticizing him to the extent that many said I hated him [President Akufo-Addo].

According to the politician, he (Odike) and Ghanaians at large have been vindicated because his projected woes of the ruling government are exactly what is in manifestation.

Odike explained that he was far from the tag “hatred” as some sections of the public deemed it because his criticism was the usual as any ordinary taxpayer would do.

Explaining what made him believe the president was going to fail, he stated categorically that the introduction of some policies such as the free SHS in his first term in office defines everything.

“When Nana Addo came to power and formed their government, they claimed Ghana had no money in the coffers because John Mahama and his government had mismanaged the economy before leaving power.

“Therefore, common sense should have told Nana Addo that as a leader, the first thing and an integral aspect of leadership are how to mobilize resources so resources mobilization should have been his first priority, but he did not consider that and rather went to tackle the free SHS policy, so I remember him going to Kumasi where I met and approach him and told him point blank that with the introduction of the policy he started with, he was doomed, yes, I told him,” Kwasi Addae Odike indicated.

He added that the president could have focused on solving the economic challenges then as a result of the country’s debt over the decision he took, indicating that in life one does not give things on a free basis if he or she lacks.

Odike also argued that the woes and crisis the country is experiencing are a justification that President Akufo-Addo has become a burden on Ghana making him “Ghana’s worst-ever president” to have ruled the country.
