Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School popularly known as Legon Presec has won the just ended National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
They won with 50 points against Prempeh College and Adisadel College who had 41 points and 32 points respectively to clinch their 7th trophy back to Accra.
Old boys and supporters were seen carrying cardboard papers with the inscription “We are still ‘seven’ a living God” at the end of the contest.
Their victory silenced their Kumasi-based opponents who were defeated on their own ground while their host and win chants faded away.
The contest saw all the three schools missing the first two rounds of questions until Prempeh College led the way only to be overtaken by the Legon boys.
The Grande Finale of the NSMQ contest came off at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Ghana, Legon on the 22nd of October, 2022.
Legon Presec as a result of their victory received five thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢5,000) from ABSA Ghana, as well as three thousand two hundred cedis (GH¢3,200) from GOIL and ten thousand cedis (GH¢10,000) from AirtelTigo.
This victory also marks their seventh trophy from the competition.
