CCTV footages have emerged barely 24 hours after a violent chieftaincy clash occurred at Enchi in the Western North Region.
The videos from the CCTV shows how the supposed attackers besieged the palace on Sunday.
In one of the CCTV clips, a dozen men were seen wielding guns, cutlasses and other offensive weapons.
About two of them corked their guns and fired into the air.
Reports indicate that luck eluded the assailants as guards at the palace saw them via the CCTV cameras and overpowered them.
Reports indicate an exchange of gun fire which led to a number of lives lost and injuries.
According to the police, four persons have so been shot dead while another person sustained some injuries from the violent chieftaincy dispute.
Security presence has been beefed up in the palace, the Enchi township and surrounding communities following the incident.
“Investigation is ongoing and crime scene experts and reinforcement teams have been dispatched from the National Headquarters in Accra and surrounding Police Regions to support the Western North Regional Police Command”, portions of a police statement reads.
The police are currently on a manhunt for the perpetrators of this violent attack to face justice.
