Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas will premiere his new expose on the galamsey menace on November 14 and 15 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

He made the announcement on his social media pages with the release of art works for the documentary.

The documentary titled ‘Galamsey Economy’ seeks to expose the persons involved in and funding illegal mining popularly termed galamsey and alleged corruption within the mining sector.

This will be the second expose from Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team focused on rot within the mining sector of Ghana.

In a similar documentary, the investigative team revealed and shamed some high profile persons who were aiding galamsey activities instead of fighting the menace.

Taking to social media, Anas sought the views of Ghanaians as to whetehr to release the documentary or otherwise.

“To show or not to show? I need the answers quickly so we can decide”, he wrote on Monday November 7, 2022.

His question has triggered several reactions on social media with people sharing divergent views.

Below are some reactions from Ghanaians:

You are doing a very good job, even though it’s obvious the current government is against your work and does not even take any serious actions on his party people, who are found to be corrupt. Keep showing!

Please we are in dire need for another blockbuster, we have been taken for granted for far too long, drop it as you have always done den no go take bride for nowhere, just as someone said everyone got a price.

Wow I can’t wait to watch it. Boss I hope you are doing well.

Hope they don’t get you to shut up again. Galamsey part 2 never came. Other investigative pieces you highlighted also didn’t come. We hope you show this one

Show paaa!!! Even if the government don’t act we will know the nation wreckers in our history. It will open the conversation about the principles and conscience of the people in a state call Ghana and lessons can be drawn out of it. The boys of affected pay masters are against it

Don't wait for answers bcs u investigate, name and shame. Why do u need answers to do what u do. You have even been silent for long and why so?

— Avanco (@Avanco3) November 8, 2022

Bro..we exhausted ,these expose will only bring more pain in the heart of Ghanians ,what is the essence of these expose if the culprits can't be made to face the law..these politicians got everyone in their pockets..for me let it rest till a new government assume power

— Cyril Jay Klevs (@cyril_klevs) November 7, 2022

Masa take your video we are not interested….what positive impact has any of your expose brought? Please let us manage the stress we are already in we don’t need new ones

— LITTLE_BUANTINE (@YOH_STUNNER) November 7, 2022

His videos remind us how funny our country is. They tell us of how lawless we are. Isn’t it incredible that after all the exposures that he has made, nothing much has been done to those involved? We have lawyers who are more interested in their pockets than their job. Shameless!

— Joe Dumas (@Kwekubee7) November 8, 2022

Why don’t you bring out these things before it happens and wait for it to happen before you come out with videos. Exposing them will cause no harm when it’s done on time🤲🏼.
