Monday, April 24, 2023, has been declared a public holiday by the Interior Ministry to mark the year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration which is statutory public holiday.
This year’s Eid-ul-Fitr falls on Saturday, April 22, however, by the Executive Instrument, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has declared Monday as holiday and would be observed throughout the country.
The Interior Minister in a signed statement said the decision was in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, Act 601.
