Menzgold pays GH¢ GH¢5 million to customers

Ghanaian gold collectible company, Menzgold Ghana Limited, has announced that it has successfully paid an amount of GH¢5 million to customers following a successful verification exercise.

The company announced that the payment which was the first tranche was carried out from the 10th of August to the 14th of September, 2023.

In a statement signed by Menzgold Chief Executive, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1, the company said it is also set to complete the full refund of the 82 clients who purchased the Menzgold verification Digital Access card prior to the company’s grant of same for free.

The move was expected to be completed on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Out of the GH¢5 million payment tranche, GH¢2,500,000 is for the account of a full and final settlement of eight (8) compromised judgment debt to certain Menzgold indebted individuals in a suit No. CM/RPC/0835/2019: The High Court of Ghana, Commercial Division, Accra.

The remaining GH¢2,500,000 is in favour of over one hundred individuals with the payments ranging between GH¢4,000 to GH¢25,500.

“The company intends to achieve a zero percent (0%) Menzgold debt-liability before the end of the next calendar year,” the statement said.

The payments and refunds come as a significant relief to Menzgold’s clients who had been waiting anxiously on the company to make payments and refunds after fallout.
