A yet-to-be identified man was been pronounced dead on arrival after being found unconscious in his vehicle at the main traffic light in Abeka – Lapaz in Accra.
The incident occured when the deceased despite incessant calls on him failed to move his vehicle despite being given the green light to move his vehicle.
This forced pedestrians and drivers alike to rush and break through his tainted white Elantra vehicle.
“We approached two officers who were around at that time and reported the issue to them. So they approached the vehicle and started hitting on his car window trying to confront him but there was no response.
“After some minutes of no response they had to break the window to open the door from the passenger seat to check what was really going on, only to find the man alone and unconscious laying behind his steer in the car. So he was quickly rushed to the Lapaz Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival…,” an eye witness said.
The eye witness added that later calls to the family showed that the vehicle was a new one which was meant for his daughter.
His body has since been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.
