Twum Barima asks: What makes Dr. Bawumia the luckiest and best Vice President in Ghana?

The grounds at which Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia adjudges himself as Ghana’s best and luckiest ever vice to any president is funny, a member of the National Democratic Congress’ Communications Team, Twum Barima has remarked.

The private legal practitioner says he finds it difficult to understand why Dr. Bawumia would come out with such remarks.

Lawyer Twum Barima’s question follows the NPP flagbearer’s assertion in one of his speeches that he is Ghana’s best and luckiest Vice President in history.

However, speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday, February 15, 2024, the NDC man questioned the host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah: “What has Bawumia done as a Vice President he described himself as the luckiest and the best Vice President in Ghana. He has set questions and judges himself by saying he is the best.

“I find it so difficult to understand his words because, what makes him the best, and who made him so because he was the same person who pronounced that he has no right in decision making in the Akufo-Addo government,” he practitioner added.

Touching on the Presidential candidature of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Twum Barima said the NPP flagbearer has nothing to offer Ghanaians as president because he has failed as Vice.

He rubbishes also Dr. Bawumia’s defense that his powers do not supersede the President to make decisions, noting that the 1992 Constitution does not restrict the Vice President from decision-making governance.
